@Evelyn,these old houses was the first houses of the Asia Minor refugees during 1922 Greek-Turkish war.For aesthetic reasons our major will pulldown all the constructions because they are very close to the ancient castles.

@Merhaba Nihal,this area by the Byzantine castles,was tha place where Turkish people lived before the population exchance.
The place is the uper Thessaloniki or old town or ano poli.I love this place,I make walks very often.There are some old colorful small houses,lovely small houses.
A real urban archeology!
