Yeni mosque.

Built in 1900 on the plans of the Italian architect Vitaliano Pozeli.

It used to be a mosque for Donmehs,Jews who have been converted to Islam.
From 1915 it was our archeological museum till 1960.
Recent use is as a cultural place,exhibition gallery etc.

Oh very interesting, Yeni Cami (=Mosque) made me smile broadly:) Because there is the same named Mosque in the historical peninsula of Ist'l and active for prayers.
I would like to see this Yeni Mosque, as well. Thanks Kostas for bringing forward here:)
