Small houses.There
There are some small houses close to castle.The old houses of poor families,very small rooms and a miniature garden but with beautiful and lovely people.
The spot of blue is delightful in the photo. I often wonder how many people in such circumstances can maintain their cheerfulness with all the attendant problems of being poor.
Kate, These are the last old houses that were constructed by the poor refugees,Greeks from Asia minor after the 1922 Greek-Turkey war.They used as one side of their home,the castle and the rest three they have made by their own hands.A very poor section of the old town.There are only few families there waiting their death! I make very often small walks there and take photos because thiw area will be past very soon.

I am so glad these are still around to tell stories. They are very interesting part of history.
At the same time beautiful and somehow sad. Those little houses are like from the fairy tale.
These are so intriguing.
